The Cortisol Morning test is a quantitative immunoassay performed on serum to measure cortisol levels, typically collected in the early morning when levels are highest. It is used to assess adrenal gland function and to aid in the diagnosis of conditions such as Cushing’s syndrome, Addison’s disease, adrenal insufficiency, and stress-related disorders. Results should be interpreted in correlation with clinical findings and, if required, additional dynamic testing.
